Nico & Parker

Two friends in a van and three beers; a trail of misfortune and maybe a miracle. It's Saturday night, Nico and Parker have nothing better to do than waiting outside the Fire Department hoping an emergency call comes in.

Made To

A little kid goes to the corner's grocery store, but in Uruguay even such a short distance can take a lifetime.

Mandenyerba Films Productions

A troupe of young film makers from Montevideo, Uruguay, whose members are the original crew of NICO & PARKER. Heading independent cinema in a country where there are no funds to produce short films, one of the group's aims is to promote the creation of a national contest where young film makers can compete and get funds for their productions.

MANDENYERBA already made a second short film, "RODRIGUEZ PALIDO" (16 mm b/w), directed by Arauco Hernández, and a third one, "MADE DONE" (16 mm b/w), directed by Diego Fernández. Its members are nowadays developing and raising funds for feature films already shown on screens, such as "LA PERRERA" (by Manolo Nieto), "CLEAN IS GOOD" (by Diego Fernández) and "RODRIGUEZ PALIDO" (by Arauco Hernández).
