Chilean Ski Industry Visits Kässbohrer/PistenBully

Telemet and Kässbohrer realized a series of conferences for all of the Chilean ski areas. Meetings were held in the factory where the PistenBully models are manufactured. The factory is located in the locality of Laupheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, (were additionally, all the Beach-Tech models for professional beach cleaning are also manufactured).

The participants were Mr. Rodrigo Ebbinghaus from Antillanca/Osorno, Mr. Luis Rubio from Chapa Verde/Rancagua, Mr. Cristian Gonzalez from Nevados de Chillan, Mr. Hugo Acuña from Corralco/Lonquimay, Mr. Tomas Grob from La Parva, Mr. Miguel Purcell from Portillo, Mr. Heinz Madsen from Pucon, Mr. Enrique Garin from Cerro Mirador/Punta Arenas and Mr. Ricardo Margulis from Valle Nevado. Telemet was represented by Mr. Cristian Elgueta and Mr. Tief Pujol, while Kässbohrer was represented by Mr. Hans Peter Mueller, Mr. Raimund Mayer, Mr. Harry Haege, Mr. Gerhard Straehle and Mr. Christof Heim.

During the two days visit to the factory the participants received extensive details of all the manufacturing, production, assembling and testing processes, as well as design, engineering and quality controls used in the process of manufacturing the PistenBully snowgroomers. In addition, there were presentations covering different subjects referred to future developments and innovations that will be introduced by the factory in the next years, and also market and productivity studies. The conference ended with intense sessions of ideas interchange, consultations and Q&A.

The trip continued with a field visit to Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain located in Garmish, Bavaria, where the participants had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the ski area and try out some of the PistenBully models. The visit finished in the city of Münich, from where the visitors went back to Chile.
